Chhapai Lab exists to explore what happens when craftsmanship, technology, materials and imagination are pushed a little further. Before anything earns the Chhapai Lab name, it has to earn its place.

We look for ideas with a point of view, unexpected, useful, beautiful or simply impossible to ignore. If we've seen it everywhere before, we're probably not interested.

The material is part of the experience.
The Lab experiments with paper, metal, wood, fabric, acrylic, leather and unconventional materials, studying texture, weight, depth, surface, light, tactility, colour and finish.
Fiber, tooth, weight, the first touch.
03 / THE MAKING
Machines give us possibilities.
Craftsmanship decides what is worth keeping.
04 / THE DETAIL
We care about the 10-centimetre view.
A product can be spectacular from a distance and still fail our test at 10 centimetres.
